Located in Northern California’s Santa Clara County, Gilroy is a charming city lying within a half-hour’s drive of downtown San Jose.

Wine lovers will be enamored with Gilroy’s many local vineyards, with Kirigin Cellars, Satori Cellars, Hecker Pass, and Fortino Winery being some of the most popular. Gilroy’s wineries are noted for their laid-back and welcoming atmosphere, with regular community events.

Gilroy’s residents enjoy lots of green spaces and outdoor attractions, making the most of the city’s fantastic weather. Gilroy Gardens showcases a kaleidoscopic array of colorful flowers, along with playgrounds, rock climbing facilities, and an amusement park. Gilroy Gardens’ 26-acre grounds are also the site for a new annual Lumination festival, with hand-crafted statues and lanterns illuminating the park in a dazzling celebration of Chinese culture.

Christmas Hill Park is another highlight. This park hosts the annual garlic festival, as well as providing a wealth of trails and serene green space all year round. Gilroy is also conveniently located for accessing Northern California’s largest state park, the magnificent 87,000-acre Henry W. Coe State Park.

The Eagle Ridge Golf Club provides a public 18-hole golf course dotted with oak trees and water features. The course has been named among the ten best in Silicon Valley, as well as one of America’s fifty most female-friendly golf clubs.
